SMTP-AUTHをやろうとして、設定までしたのですが送信できずログには以下のようなメッセージが残っていました。

: SASL authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory
SASL LOGIN authentication failed
lost connection after AUTH from ***.***.**[***.***.***.**]

/usr/lib/sasl/smtpd.confにはpwcheck_method:pwcheck
/usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.confにはpwcheck_method:saslauthd

と書いてます。
